Teens Yoga Class
Yoga is beneficial for everybody, and especially so for Teenagers.
The Teenage years can be a difficult time, both physically and emotionally. They face many challenges and stresses:
- body image
- self-esteem
- peer-pressure
- relationships
- studies
- making life decisions
This Yoga class is dedicated to Teenagers so that they may learn techniques that will help them through many of these challenges. It teaches simple techniques that can be used as a coping strategy in stressful situations.
We spend so much money and energy developing our children's education for their mind - what about their Emotional Intelligence and Well-being? Do they know how to breathe in a stressful situation that will help keep them calm?
During a 6 week course they will learn:
- breathing techniques to calm the mind - when the pressure is on
- proper posture - which can assist in developing
breath and self-esteem - asanas (postures) to stretch the whole body - assisting in increasing
health, vitality and flexibility - techniques to balance both brain hemispheres to develop
focus, concentration and improve memory
Time: 8.00pm - 9.00pm
