What is Sadhana?
Sadhana is a self-discipline by which we energize and balance the body and clear the mind and subconscious. Sadhana is also a spiritual practice in which we confront the tendencies of our mind and ego and out of love invite in the dimensions of our soul, spirit and intuition. Sadhana, in its essence, is a process of refinement, development and mastery.
Sadhana means any practice of self-correction that provides the mind and body with a disciplined procedure to express the Infinite within one's self. It is a practice that aligns your cycles, patterns, and mental and emotional reactions so that they support your purpose, your values and your goals. It is a time each day to notice all the negative habits that lead you away from higher consciousness and to eliminate the desires underlying those habits one-by-one --step-by-step.
Group Sadhana and the Expanded Self
Sadhana is a discipline that moves us toward cosmic consciousness and self-realization; it creates individual excellence and helps to fulfill the destiny and potential of our soul.
"There is individual consciousness and from there, group consciouness and then we reach universal consciousness. The aim of man is to reach universal consciouness."
Yogi Bhajan
